New Fee Structure
New range of pricing options designed to dramatically reduce the upfront cost of selling on eBay and offer eBay’s lowest-ever Insertion Fees.
New eBay standard rates: Free insertion fees in auctions with a start price 99 cents or less for up to 100 listings per month. New, lower insertion fees for auctions at all other starting prices. New, simplified final fee value for all auctions.
New eBay Stores subscription packages: Full search exposure on fixed price listings for as little as 3 cents per listing, plus new low rates for auctions.
Four examples show how sellers of different sizes can reduce their listing fees (insertion fees and final value fees) and lower their upfront cost of selling on eBay with the new fee options. 25 Items
A “hobby” or “part-time” seller in the auction-style format who lists 25 items per month and starts those auctions at $0.99 currently pays $38.75 in fees. The seller’s current upfront cost is 18% of total fees.
Beginning March 30, under the new Standard fees with no insertion fees for these listings, this seller’s fees would decrease to $36 per month, an 8% savings. The seller’s new upfront cost would be ZERO (or limited to just picture fees and optional feature fees).
Assumes 80% conversion (20 items sold per month) and a $20 average selling price.

On March 30, with a Basic Store subscription, these fees would decrease to $151.95 (including the subscription fee), an 8% savings (not including additional savings with free pictures). The seller’s new upfront cost would be cut in half to only 26% of total listing fees.
Assumes 10% conversion (20 items sold/month) with an average selling price of $40.
